Historique
La société, créée en 1878 par Leméteyer et Hébert sous la raison sociale Manufacture de papiers d'Angoulême, s'installe en 1906, 180 rue de Bordeaux, dans des locaux des pompes funèbres datant du 19e siècle et agrandis à cette occasion. Edouard Hébert dirige cette entreprise de façonnage de papier, qui reste dans la famille jusqu'à la cessation d'activité. Les opérations, manuelles au départ, sont assez vite assurées par des machines. L'atelier Hébert possède une toiture en shed reposant sur des poteaux en bois. History
The company, created in 1878 by Leméteyer and Hébert under the business name Manufacture de papiers d'Angoulême, moved in 1906, 180 rue de Bordeaux, into premises of a funeral service dating from the 19th century and enlarged on this occasion. Edouard Hébert directed this paper converting business, which remained in the family until the cessation of activity. The operations, manual at first, were soon carried out by machines. The Hébert workshop has a shed roof resting on wooden posts. Although closed since 1975, it has retained all its machines which constituted the chain for folding envelopes, those for manufacturing visiting cards and notebooks, and that for converting cardboard boxes. A printing workshop completes this exceptional ensemble.
