History
Architect Auguste Nicolas built the building in 1896, the programme responding to regulatory constraints (street widening and fixing of building lines) and based on an existing foundation (cellars dating probably to the 17th century). The style of the main façade, with the presence of the attic storey, constitutes a perfected example of the eclectic expression in vogue at the turn of the century.
