L'église construite par Pierre Bienvenu constitue un exemple d'église rurale très originale, à l'exécution particulièrement soignée. Le parti architectural adopte une conception du modernisme tempéré par quelques citations vernaculaires comme l'emploi du grès en parement des murs latéraux et le grand comble à deux versants couvert de tuiles plates. L'ossature de l'église est constituée de quatre grandes fermes en béton armé triangulées, dessinant un plan trapézoïdal qui se resserre vers le sanctuaire, lui-même mis en scène à l'intérieur du clocher, avec un arc triomphal au profil légèrement parabolique. Yvonne Guégan crée un ensemble décoratif complet. Le regard converge vers la peinture murale de l'abside représentant l'Annonciation, dont le style évoque celui des œuvres de Matisse. Yvonne Quégan conçoit le dessin de l'autel avec les quatre évangélistes exécutés en ciment moulé par Madeleine Dutemple.

History
The church built by Pierre Bienvenu constitutes an example of a very original rural church, executed with particular care. The architectural approach adopts a conception of modernism tempered by some vernacular references such as the use of sandstone as facing of the lateral walls and the large roof with two pitches covered with flat tiles. The structure of the church is formed by four large triangulated fermes in reinforced concrete, creating a trapezoidal plan which narrows towards the sanctuary, itself staged within the bell tower, with a triumphal arch with a slightly parabolic profile. Yvonne Guégan creates a complete decorative ensemble. The eye is drawn to the mural painting in the apse representing the Annunciation, whose style evokes that of works by Matisse. Yvonne Guégan designs the altar with the four evangelists executed in cast concrete by Madeleine Dutemple.
