L'ancien palais de la liqueur « La Micheline », érigé à la fin du 19e siècle, a été construit pour accueillir les bureaux de la distillerie Sabatier et une salle des fêtes au premier étage. Le bâtiment s'ouvre par une large façade à l'ouest et deux pignons au sud et au nord. Un important auvent, sans doute ajouté en 1901, abrite une grotte en rocaille et laissait passer le haut de la bouteille d'Or-Kina, réservoir pour le jardin en contre-bas, alimenté par l'eau de la Cité. La façade ouest est très ouverte. Au rez-de-chaussée, les aménagements Sabatier ont disparu. Le premier étage est entièrement occupé par la salle des fêtes au décor abondant : stucs, sculptures, peintures, glaces, moulures, dorures. Sur le mur ouest, côté terrasse, deux statues féminines posées sur une sellette, encadrent le panneau central où, sous un entablement sculpté, est mis en scène un buste de Michel Sabatier. Au-dessus, deux termes féminins soutiennent un entablement sommé par une lyre symbolisant la passion de l'industriel pour la musique. Au plafond, le grand motif central est encadré de deux cartouches avec angelots, portant les initiales entrelacées de Michel Sabatier et deux dates : 1885 pour la fondation de l'entreprise ; 1901 pour la création de la salle.

History
The former palace of the liqueur "La Micheline", erected at the end of the 19th century, was built to house the offices of the Sabatier distillery and a ballroom on the first floor. The building opens by a wide façade to the west and two gables to the south and north. A large canopy, doubtless added in 1901, shelters a grotto in rockwork and allowed the top of the golden Or-Kina bottle, a reservoir for the garden below, fed by the water of the Cité, to pass through. The west façade is very open. On the ground floor, the Sabatier fittings have disappeared. The first floor is entirely occupied by the ballroom with abundant decoration: stucco, sculptures, paintings, mirrors, mouldings, gilding. On the west wall, on the terrace side, two female statues posed on a plinth frame the central panel where, beneath a sculptured entablature, is set a bust of Michel Sabatier. Above, two female terms support an entablature crowned by a lyre symbolising the industrialist's passion for music. On the ceiling, the large central motif is framed by two cartouches with putti bearing the intertwined initials of Michel Sabatier and two dates: 1885 for the founding of the enterprise; 1901 for the creation of the ballroom.
