Immeuble construit dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle. Il s'agit d'un ancien hôtel particulier dans lequel s'est installée la sous-préfecture pendant presque tout le 19e siècle. Edifice à trois corps de bâtiments disposés en U autour d'une cour d'honneur fermée. Un portail en anse de panier donne accès à la cour. Ce dernier est animé de pilastres à refends et ajouré par deux grandes baies. A l'exception des façades sur cour, les autres façades n'ont pas d'ordonnance. L'immeuble est à un étage carré et un étage de comble sur rez-de-chaussée. La façade principale est pourvue d'un corps central, en légère saillie, dans l'axe duquel s'ouvre l'entrée. Ce léger avant-corps est encadré de tables rentrantes verticales. Quatre travées de fenêtres éclairent les différents niveaux. La façade Est est encadrée par deux pavillons qui bordent une cour de service accessible par un porche couvert d'une terrasse. L'entrée principale, au nord, donne accès à un vestibule à gauche duquel se développe la cage d'escalier. La distribution intérieure a été peu modifiée. Le décor se concentre surtout dans l'étage carré. Parmi les pièces remarquables, il faut signaler le salon de musique avec sa galerie supérieure, deux salons et la salle à manger.

History
Building constructed in the second half of the 18th century. It is a former hôtel particulier in which the sub-prefectural office was established for almost all of the 19th century. Building with three blocks arranged in a U around a closed court of honour. A basket-handle arch portal provides access to the courtyard. This is enlivened by pilasters with rustication and pierced by two large openings. With the exception of the courtyard façades, the other façades have no ordonnance. The building has one square storey and one roof storey above a ground floor. The main façade is provided with a central block, in slight projection, in the axis of which opens the entrance. This slight avant-corps is framed by vertical recessed tables. Four bays of windows light the different levels. The East façade is framed by two pavilions which border a service courtyard accessible by a porch covered with a terrace. The main entrance, to the north, gives access to a vestibule to the left of which the staircase cage develops. The interior distribution has been little modified. The décor is concentrated mainly in the square storey. Among the remarkable rooms, one must note the music room with its upper gallery, two reception rooms and the dining room.
