La grange de Sermoise, créée autour de 1222-1235, appartient à un ensemble de trente granges possédées par l'abbaye de Clairvaux à la fin du 13e siècle. Les bâtiments forment un premier ensemble construit sur plan carré et un second composé d'une grange et de dépendances. L'approvisionnement en eau est assuré par une source captée à 375m des bâtiments qui donne naissance à une retenue d'eau, laquelle alimente une citerne grâce à une canalisation souterraine. Le corps de logis occupe l'aile sud-ouest. Les ailes sont sur deux niveaux, le premier servant d'habitation ou d'exploitation, le second de grenier. Malgré quelques percements du 19e siècle, il s'agit de la seule des granges de l'abbaye de Clairvaux à avoir conservé autant d'éléments du 13e siècle.

History
The barn of Sermoise, created around 1222-1235, belongs to a set of thirty barns owned by the abbey of Clairvaux at the end of the 13th century. The buildings form a first set built on a square plan and a second composed of a barn and outbuildings. Water supply is ensured by a spring captured 375m from the buildings which gives rise to a water retention, which feeds a cistern via an underground pipe. The main dwelling occupies the south-west wing. The wings are on two levels, the first serving as habitation or storage, the second as granary. Despite some openings of the 19th century, this is the only one of the barns of the abbey of Clairvaux to have preserved so many elements from the 13th century.
