Monument commémoratif de la première réunion de Nice à la France pendant la période révolutionnaire, élevé à l'occasion du centenaire et suite au concours lancé en 1892, remporté par l'architecte niçois Febvre et le sculpteur toulonnais Allar. Le monument a été inauguré le 4 mars 1896. Il se compose d'une base avec bas-relief de la Méditerranée, un obélisque auquel est adossé le groupe sculpté de la France accueillant Nice et une Victoire ailée en bronze.

History
Commemorative monument of the first reunion of Nice to France during the Revolutionary period, erected on the occasion of the centenary and following the competition launched in 1892, won by the Nice architect Febvre and the Toulon sculptor Allar. The monument was inaugurated on 4 March 1896. It consists of a base with bas-relief of the Mediterranean, an obelisk to which is attached the sculpted group of France welcoming Nice and a winged Victory in bronze.
