Canal essentiellement réalisé entre 1880 et 1883 par la Compagnie Générale des Eaux sur un projet de l'ingénieur E. Delacroix en 1879. Canal de montagne long de 29 km servant à l'alimentation en eau potable depuis le début du 20e siècle. Les ouvrages d'art principaux sont bien conservés, dont le siphon de Saint-Blaise.

History
Canal essentially constructed between 1880 and 1883 by the Compagnie Générale des Eaux from a project by engineer E. Delacroix in 1879.
