Autrefois dépendance de l'abbaye de Saint-Pons à Nice, l'abbaye de la Madone des Prés a été construite dans la seconde moitié du 11e siècle (première mention en 1075). Vendue à la Révolution, l'église est aujourd'hui une propriété privée. L'ancienne église est actuellement englobée dans des bâtiments modernes. L'abside et l'extrémité de la nef sont bâties sur une crypte à moitié enterrée et presque intacte. La crypte, construite en moellons et couverte de voûtes d'arêtes, forme un rectangle terminé à l'est par un hémicycle.

History
Formerly a dependency of the abbey of Saint-Pons in Nice, the abbey of la Madone des Prés was built in the second half of the 11th century (first mention in 1075). Sold at the Revolution, the church is today a private property. The former church is currently enclosed within modern buildings. The apse and the end of the nave are built over a half-buried and almost intact crypt. The crypt, built of rubble stone and covered with groined vaults, forms a rectangle terminated to the east by a hemicycle.
