La villa de la Tronçais fut construite entre 1909 et 1912 pour le vicomte Robert Hutteau d'Origny, sur un terrain dont il avait hérité de sa mère. Le choix d'un style balnéaire pour ce « château-villa » est probablement inspiré des villas de Deauville, dont R. d'Origny affectionnait l'architecture. L'architecte en fut Louis Laroque, qui exerçait à Moulins et mena un certain nombre de chantiers en Bourbonnais. Le parc fut dessiné par Treyve, horticulteur-paysagiste à Moulins.

History
The villa of La Tronçais was built between 1909 and 1912 for Viscount Robert Hutteau d'Origny, on land which he had inherited from his mother. The choice of a seaside style for this "château-villa" was probably inspired by the villas of Deauville, whose architecture R. d'Origny was fond of. The architect was Louis Laroque, who practised in Moulins and undertook a certain number of projects in Bourbonnais. The park was designed by Treyve, horticulturist-landscape gardener in Moulins.
