Le camp fortifié, dit « W2 », constitue le deuxième plus grand dispositif de ce type. C'était également le seul quartier général du Führer encore intact lors de la capitulation de la Wehrmacht en mai 1945. Le périmètre intérieur, correspondant au camp actuel, se compose d'un ensemble de 38 ouvrages, dont les numéros 1 à 22 seulement remontent à la seconde guerre mondiale. History
