History
Battlefield fossilized in a wooded area, which comprises four types of remains: networks of trenches, some of which are very well preserved, countless shell holes, a concrete bunker which presumably served a German gun and a very impressive tunnel whose entrance is steep. The galleries are partially filled in. The trenches, the shell holes and the bunker are well preserved. These remains of defensive organization, corresponding to a sector where fighting was very deadly for six months (April to September 1917), are very rare.
