Historique
L'église a été construite dans le courant du 17e siècle. Vers le milieu du 18e siècle, elle tombe en ruines ; une nouvelle église, plus belle et plus grande, est bâtie sur le même emplacement. Entre 1858 et 1860, nouvelle reconstruction. Des destructions dues à un cyclone (1891) , à la foudre (1931) ou à un tremblement de terre (1946) entrainent de nombreuses restaurations et reconstructions. L'église, de plan en croix latine, possède une superbe charpente en bois et un beau maître-autel.

History
The church was built in the course of the 17th century. Towards the middle of the 18th century, it falls into ruins; a new church, more beautiful and larger, is built on the same site. Between 1858 and 1860, new reconstruction. Destruction due to a cyclone (1891), lightning (1931) or an earthquake (1946) entail numerous restorations and reconstructions. The church, of Latin cross plan, possesses superb timber roof structure and a beautiful high altar.
