Villa située sur le versant ouest du cap Ferrat, construite de 1931 à 1935, dans un style néo-régionaliste, pour Marital Houzez. Elle est acquise quelque temps après par Francine Weisweiller, épouse fortunée d'un homme d'affaires, qui meuble la villa dans un style colonial. A partir de 1950, son ami, le poète et peintre Jean Cocteau, "tatoue" les murs blancs de l'intérieur de la villa avec des peintures murales traitant des thèmes de la Méditerranée et de ses pêcheurs, du soleil, de la nuit et de la mythologie. History
Villa situated on the western slope of cap Ferrat, constructed from 1931 to 1935, in a neo-regionalist style, for Marital Houzez. It was acquired some time afterwards by Francine Weisweiller, the wealthy wife of a businessman, who furnished the villa in a colonial style. From 1950 onwards, her friend, the poet and painter Jean Cocteau, "tattooed" the white walls of the interior of the villa with murals treating themes of the Mediterranean and its fishermen, the sun, the night and mythology. Appearing in the film "Le Testament d'Orphée", this villa is an exceptional testimony to the work of the artist.
