History
Castellum de Maloleone cited for the first time around 1080. Reconstruction of the fortifications of the town and castle in the early 13th century. Destruction during the Wars of Religion (16th century). What remained of the walls was razed in the 17th century by order of Richelieu. Construction in the 18th century of the seneschal's court on the esplanade of the castle.
