The convent, one of the oldest in Corsica, was founded in 1479 by the inhabitants of Morsiglia and Centuri who installed there the Servants of Mary. The church was built in 1600 and enlarged in the early 18th century. The convent buildings, rebuilt after the fire of 1560, were enlarged in 1749. The monks were expelled in 1792 and the convent's properties sold. The building was put up for sale in 1828. The convent presents a U-shaped plan closed, to the east, by a fence and abutting, to the south, the church. The latter presents a façade with two levels rhythmed by pilasters and crowned by a triangular pediment. Inside, two aisles each occupied by four lateral chapels, opening through arcades onto the nave covered with a barrel vault and penetrations. The stuccoed decoration of the sacristy was carried out in the 18th century by the Milanese Tomaso Mencacci, as was that of the refectory. The convent buildings are organised around a central courtyard onto which open the arcades of the interior gallery. The storey of the three buildings, served by a lateral corridor, was reserved for the cells of the monks.
