Former fortress of which only the keep remains. The castle was part of the line of fortification put in place from the 11th century. According to tradition, the fortress, restored in 1350, was destroyed by the English, then rebuilt in the 15th century. The main dwelling, from the end of the 12th century, has been little altered since the 16th century. The building has retained interesting features of the original construction: structure of the building, decoration of the twinned openings circumscribed in round arches. Other elements date from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries: corner machicolations, modification of the number of levels, addition of a polygonal staircase tower serving all floors, piercing of half-openings and cross-windows, internal partitioning of rooms, creation of a fireplace in each. The building is representative of the Romanesque dwellings of small lords.
