Cette usine a été construite entre 1844 et 1847 pour le propriétaire Alexandre-Jean-Marie Aguado, second marquis de Las Marismas del Quadalquivir, Jean-Louis Boigues, fermier de la forge et grand industriel métallurgiste installé à Fourchambault, et l'ingénieur métallurgiste Achille Dufaud. History
This factory was built between 1844 and 1847 for the owner Alexandre-Jean-Marie Aguado, second marquis of Las Marismas del Quadalquivir, Jean-Louis Boigues, tenant farmer of the foundry and major metallurgical industrialist established at Fourchambault, and the metallurgical engineer Achille Dufaud. It is a large, well-ventilated space with monumental gables of neo-classical inspiration, possessing a mixed iron and wood roof structure. The dwellings were built in 1833 or 1834. These are housing units served by external gallery corridors. The building constitutes a rare witness at the national level of a new type of industrial architecture developed since the 1820s.
