History
The church comprises a fairly narrow nave which was formerly covered by an exposed roof structure, now replaced by modern vaults; a double transept with apsidioles in semi-circle; a sanctuary also in semi-circle. The transepts have retained their primitive barrel vault with round arch. The apses retain their cul-de-four vaults. The crossing bay is closed by a dome supporting the bell tower. In the 16th century, there are established, in half the length of the nave, towards the transept, the two sections of aisles covered with barrel vault with round arch, which had the purpose of providing direct access to the transepts.
