History
Bastide founded in 1270 by Alphonse of Poitiers. Château included in the fortification of the bastide. Dwelling leaning against the northern rampart, inside the urban enclosure. The entirety of the château transformed into a museum since 1963. Main dwelling rebuilt in the 19th century.
