History
This exceptional industrial complex participated in the metallurgical production useful to the defence of the kingdom, with the forges of Moisdon (44) of 1668-1669, of Clavières (36) of 1668-1671, of Dampierre (28) of 1669-1673. The creation of the forges of Dampierre-sur-Blévy is linked to the growth of shipbuilding and military artillery in the 17th century.
