La transformation principale date des années 1925 : le nouveau propriétaire, l'antiquaire Edouard Larcade remanie demeure et dépendances pour leur conférer un caractère gothique, en particulier par la construction d'un cloître et d'une chapelle sur la terrasse supérieure et le remploi d'éléments lapidaires. Le paysagiste Godard restaure et complète les jardins.

History
In the 18th century, country residence of a great Nice family. Sold as national property at the Revolution, it was the subject in the 19th century of works affecting mainly the outbuildings and gardens. The principal transformation dates from the years 1925: the new owner, antiquarian Edouard Larcade, remodelled the dwelling and outbuildings to give them a Gothic character, in particular through the construction of a cloister and a chapel on the upper terrace and the reuse of stone elements. Landscape architect Godard restored and enlarged the gardens.
