History
Headquarters of the Society of Agriculture, Horticulture and Acclimatisation of Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes, a learned society founded in 1860. Designed by Paul Martin, engineer of arts and crafts and secretary general of the Society in 1900, the building was constructed from 1900 and inaugurated on 8 April 1901 by the President of the Republic, Emile Loubet. It is a witness to the activities of a learned society and one of the vestiges of the Belle Epoque on the Promenade des Anglais.
