History
Known and used since time immemorial, this arranged underground chamber was filled by the flooding of the Agout in 1930. Dug over a length of 142 metres in marl and sandstone, fitted with silos and defensive arrangements, these underground chambers could be linked to the history of the Castella mound and to a castle erected by Sicard Alaman in the 13th century.
