Le pigeonnier est une dépendance du Moulin Grand, situé sur la commune de Saint-Jean-de-Veyle qui est mentionné en 1675 avec comme propriétaire Jean Conte. Si le moulin a été sans doute modifié depuis le XVIIe siècle, il est impossible de dater le pigeonnier. Il est l'un des trois derniers exemplaires de ce type avec celui du manoir de la Balmondière à Saint-André-d'Huriat et celui de Coron à Beley.

History
The dovecote is an outbuilding of the Moulin Grand, located on the commune of Saint-Jean-de-Veyle which is mentioned in 1675 with Jean Conte as owner. If the mill has doubtless been modified since the 17th century, it is impossible to date the dovecote. It is one of the three last examples of this type along with that of the manor house of la Balmondière at Saint-André-d'Huriat and that of Coron at Beley.
