Historique

History
Whilst the fief is mentioned as early as 1310, the present main dwelling is dated to 1715 and 1720. Two tree-lined avenues led, one to the main entrance (west), the other to the north entrance door. The castle is at the centre of plots radiating around it and forming a kind of oval. The main dwelling, reinforced by towers on the west elevation, occupies the western part of a rectangular courtyard enclosed by walls backed by buildings. To the east a long building extends which possessed two round towers at its extremities. To the south, a building implanted at an angle houses a cellar and a smaller building with external staircase, in front of which is found a well. The courtyard is closed to the north by a wall in the centre of which opens a large door flanked by two smaller doors. The building rises over two levels: ground floor and attic storey. The ground floor is punctuated by eleven glass doors and windows. The storey under a broken roof is lit by eleven dormers with gables alternately triangular or trilobed. The east elevation is more sober. Its alignment is interrupted only by the external staircase placed at the centre of the composition. Seven openings on the ground floor are topped by dormers with triangular pediment-gables. An appendage was added in the 19th century against the north wall of the stairwell. Inside, the main room is adorned with panels and niches in stucco.
