Le moulin à eau de la Vallée a été bâti en 1779 ainsi que le montrent sur la façade de la cour les ancres des tirants en fer ; il fut établi sur des structures anciennes et appartenait à l'abbaye de Crespin. Il passa ensuite dans la vicomté de Sebourg, puis à des propriétaires privés qui l'ont maintenu en activité, le dernier sur l'Aunelle, jusqu'en 1966. La construction, en brique et en grès, est typique de l'Avesnois. Elle est à deux niveaux et flanquée d'une aile pour le logement du meunier. Ce moulin à farine présente une roue extérieure de dessus, à augets métalliques, le long du bâtiment ; les vannes de décharge fixés sur des bajoyers massifs de grès, ont un déversoir original en paliers.

History
The water mill of the Vallée was built in 1779 as shown by the anchors of the iron rods on the courtyard façade; it was established on old structures and belonged to the abbey of Crespin. It then passed into the viscounty of Sebourg, then to private owners who maintained it in operation, the last on the Aunelle, until 1966. The construction, in brick and sandstone, is typical of Avesnois. It is two levels and flanked by a wing for the miller's dwelling. This flour mill presents an outer top-fed wheel with metal buckets along the building; the discharge sluices fixed on massive sandstone abutments have an original weir in steps.
