Pour remplacer la place dite "cancel", la municipalité fait construire un toril dans une cour, au sud du vieux village, à l'emplacement de l'ancienne glacière et de l'aire à battre. Mises en service en 1905, ces arènes, témoignant de la vivacité des traditions de la "bouvine" en Bas-Languedoc, sont depuis lors régulièrement entretenues.
