Historique
Intérêt ethnologique de la tradition culturelle de la bouvine en Bas Languedoc. Pour suppléer à la place Saint-Louis où se donnaient les courses, la municipalité fit installer une arène en bois à l'occasion de chaque fête votive. Certains vignerons nouvellement enrichis, amenèrent sur place de petits "théâtres" décorés pour y installer leur famille. Les autres Aigue-Mortais les imitèrent et depuis lors la tradition s'est maintenue. Plan rectangulaire de 104 théâtres, devant lesquels sont installés des "burladeros" en bois. Toril en bois face à la tribune municipale dite aussi "théâtre des vieux". Piste octogonale délimitée avec des madriers. Deux portails métalliques ("travettes"). Monté chaque année début octobre à l'extérieur de la ville.

Ethnological interest of the cultural tradition of bull-running in Lower Languedoc.
