Historique
L'église, dans son état actuel, résulte de deux étapes de construction. La première construction, à l'emplacement d'une ancienne église, est achevée en 1838. L'église nécessite, dès 1844, d'importants travaux de restauration. Entre 1870 et 1875, la nef est agrandie, la façade reconstruite et deux bas-côtés lui sont accolés. Cette église néo-classique présente une élévation antérieure dont le corps central est scandé de pilastres et terminé par un fronton triangulaire. Deux corps flanquent cette partie centrale. Un clocher à étages flanque l'angle nord-ouest, entre l'élévation nord et le chevet semi-circulaire. A l'intérieur, la nef principale est couverte d'une voûte en berceau et à pénétrations et se termine par un choeur hémi-sphérique, surmonté d'une demi-coupole où est peinte la scène de l'Assomption.

History
The church, in its present state, results from two stages of construction. The first construction, at the location of an old church, is completed in 1838. The church requires, from 1844, important restoration work. Between 1870 and 1875, the nave is enlarged, the façade rebuilt and two aisles are attached to it. This neo-classical church presents a front elevation whose central section is divided by pilasters and terminated by a triangular pediment. Two sections flank this central part. A tiered bell tower flanks the north-west angle, between the north elevation and the semi-circular chevet. Inside, the main nave is covered with a barrel vault with interpenetrations and terminates in a hemispherical choir, surmounted by a half-dome where is painted the scene of the Assumption.
