The park was created around 1830 and remodelled in the years 1860-1870. A network of paths delimits wooded masses and lawns. The remarkable elements of this landscape park are the hydraulic system which uses the slope of the terrain to distribute water; the fabriques; the false stream with the four bridges spanning it; the rustic kiosk; the kitchen garden. The house was modified under the Second Empire. Balzac stayed there on three occasions between 1834 and 1838, at the home of his friends Carraud.
