Illustrant l'évolution des techniques de production de la chaux des 18e et 19e siècles, cet ensemble de trois fours est inclus dans une construction de maçonnerie en pierre calcaire, qu'épaulent de larges contreforts. Un puissant mur de soutènement en glacis sépare les deux premiers fours du troisième. Le premier four comprend une courte galerie voûtée, à entrée unique, servant d'abri au chaufournier. History
Illustrating the evolution of lime production techniques in the 18th and 19th centuries, this ensemble of three furnaces is included in a construction of masonry in limestone, which is buttressed by large buttresses. A powerful retaining wall in batter separates the first two furnaces from the third. The first furnace comprises a short vaulted gallery, with single entrance, serving as shelter for the lime-burner. A narrow discharge opening connected the furnace to this gallery. The second furnace is provided with a lateral gallery skirting the base of the furnace on one side and equipped with several discharge openings, to which access was gained by two opposite entrances. The lateral gallery of the third is identical to that of the second, but longer. There remain, nearby, the lime-burner's office, the forge and the weighing machine.
