History
In 1820, Father Ambroise Martin, curate of Megève, notices the similarity between the site and the Palestinian Golgotha. He devotes himself from then on to the realisation of a calvary similar to that of Jerusalem. In 1840, he acquires the land and erects fifteen chapels and oratories illustrating the Passion of Christ.
