Vaste entrepôt construit en 1733-1734 sur le port de Saint-Valéry, et édifié en brique et pierre sur soubassement de grès. Le commanditaire en était François Lebaud. La toiture primitive qui recouvrait les trois travées de l'entrepôt n'existe plus depuis 1935. Il s'agit là du seul exemple subsistant en France d'entrepôt aux sels de cette ampleur, et qui était destiné à emmagasiner les sels devant approvisionner les greniers des provinces de Picardie, Champagne et Bourgogne.

History
Vast warehouse built in 1733-1734 on the port of Saint-Valéry, and erected in brick and stone on a gritstone base. The person commissioning it was François Lebaud. The primitive roof which covered the three bays of the warehouse no longer exists since 1935. This is the only surviving example in France of a salt warehouse of this scale, which was intended to store the salts destined to supply the granaries of the provinces of Picardy, Champagne and Burgundy.
