Historique
Ancienne maison de commerce autrefois située rue des Vergeaux, à 500 mètres de son emplacement actuel, dont la façade, démontée pierre par pierre après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, a été reconstruite à l'identique, place d'Aguesseau, contre le Logis du Roi. Cette superbe façade Renaissance (16e siècle, malgré les deux grandes baies d'inspiration gothique) est attribuée à Charles Bullant, neveu de Jean Bullant qui signa la réalisation du château d'Ecouen. Propriété de Jean Bultel, riche marchand drapier, cette maison doit son nom aux deux petits sagittaires situés au-dessus des deux baies du magasin. Une Vierge à l'Enfant et d'autres sculptures allégoriques ornent la façade, inspirées de l'Iconologie de Cesare Ripa (dont l'Affliction et la Piété).

History
Former commercial house formerly located on rue des Vergeaux, 500 metres from its current location, whose façade, dismantled stone by stone after the Second World War, was rebuilt identically, on place d'Aguesseau, against the Logis du Roi. This superb Renaissance façade (16th century, despite the two large openings of Gothic inspiration) is attributed to Charles Bullant, nephew of Jean Bullant who signed the realization of the château d'Ecouen. Property of Jean Bultel, wealthy cloth merchant, this house owes its name to the two small sagittaries situated above the two openings of the shop. A Virgin and Child and other allegorical sculptures adorn the façade, inspired by the Iconology of Cesare Ripa (including Affliction and Piety).
