Concrete emplacement of a German artillery piece Lang Max, called Grosse Bertha. The range of this piece was greater than 110 km. It fired 185 shots on Paris between 23 March and 1 May 1918, causing many victims, notably on Good Friday 1918, among the faithful leaving the church of Saint-Gervais. The emplacement is octagonal in shape with a diameter of 5.40 metres. On either side two blockhouses remain, well preserved.
