Fondée vers 915, reconstruite vers 1130-1140, jusqu'au milieu du 13e siècle, l'église Saint-Pierre servit d'église paroissiale aux Compiègnois habitant à l'intérieur des remparts. Les bâtiments conventuels et l'église furent vendus en 1791 et adjugés au Procureur de la Commune de Compiègne.

History
Founded around 915, rebuilt around 1130-1140, until the middle of the 13th century, the church of Saint-Pierre served as the parish church for the inhabitants of Compiègne living within the ramparts. Indeed, it was in 1207 that Saint-Germain being situated outside the walls, the Bishop of Soissons divided the city into three parishes, but it was only in 1235 that the construction of Saint-Jacques began.
