History
Built, for the most part, in the late 12th and 13th centuries, the church of Chagny is an elegant example of the early Gothic period. It consists of a nave of three bays with rib vaults, an elevation of three storeys, flanked by aisles and has a square bell tower with richly pierced belfry. The decoration is carved with capitals and corbels.
