Le château d'Aubigny est l'ancien siège du fief de la famille du même nom, anoblie en 1568. La demeure actuelle, édifiée dans la première moitié du 17ème siècle, est le résultat d'un remaniement total d'un logis datant du 15ème siècle comme l'atteste la présence de deux des quatre tours en élévation postérieure (bouches à feu dans deux des quatre tours). £Une «cour d'honneur», balisée à l'ouest par un vaste plan d'eau ainsi que par la grange datant du 15ème siècle, précède le château proprement dit. Selon le cadastre de 1811, il apparait que seul le profil de l'allée d'accès a été modifié dans sa largeur. Le corps de logis affiche une structure allongée, avec un rez-de-chaussée en hauteur et un étage à usage de caves. Un fronton triangulaire orne la façade sur cour. Accolés par deux, les pavillons d'angle, manifestement du 15ème siècle et munis chacun d'un toit en pavillon achèvent la composition de l'ensemble.

History
The château d'Aubigny is the former seat of the fief of the family of the same name, ennobled in 1568. The present dwelling, built in the first half of the 17th century, is the result of a complete remodelling of a main dwelling dating from the 15th century as attested by the presence of two of the four towers in later elevation (gun ports in two of the four towers). A "cour d'honneur", marked to the west by a vast expanse of water as well as by the barn dating from the 15th century, precedes the château itself. According to the 1811 cadastre, it appears that only the profile of the access drive was modified in its width. The main body displays an elongated structure, with a ground floor of considerable height and a storey for use as cellars. A triangular pediment adorns the façade facing the courtyard. Attached in pairs, the corner pavilions, clearly from the 15th century and each equipped with a hipped roof, complete the composition of the ensemble.
