Historique
La construction de l'église remonterait au 11e siècle, le patronage étant donné à la collégiale de Mortain. Il ne subsiste rien de cette époque. L'édifice actuel remonte à la fin du 16e siècle et au début du 17e. Il se compose d'une nef unique, d'un transept saillant et d'un choeur terminé par un chevet plat. Le clocher est placé en saillie sur la troisième travée nord de la nef. L'ancien clocher renversé en 1614 a été remplacé par la tour actuelle. En 1622, édification de la chapelle Sainte-Anne. En 1830, le choeur est élargi pour permettre la pose du retable. Le mobilier important provient en partie de l'ancienne abbaye de Belle Etoile, en partie de l'ancienne église de Tinchebray.

History
The construction of the church would date back to the 11th century, the patronage being given to the collegiate church of Mortain. Nothing remains from this period. The present building dates from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th. It consists of a single nave, a projecting transept and a choir terminated by a flat chevet. The bell tower is placed projecting on the third north bay of the nave. The old bell tower toppled in 1614 was replaced by the present tower. In 1622, construction of the Sainte-Anne chapel. In 1830, the choir was enlarged to allow the placement of the altarpiece. The significant furnishings come partly from the former Belle Etoile abbey, partly from the former church of Tinchebray.
