Petit prieuré de l'abbaye limousine de Grandmont. Les bâtiments actuels semblent être dus à l'évêque de Sees, Neel de Christot, qui aimait venir s'y reposer. History
Small priory of the Limousin abbey of Grandmont. The current buildings appear to be due to the bishop of Séez, Neel de Christot, who liked to come and rest there. The Commission of Regulars, entrusted by Louis XV with the Reform of abuses, decided in 1772 to suppress the abbey of Grandmont and its priories. Chêne Gallon was closed in 1786 and the revenues granted to the seminary of Séez. The church was demolished in the early 19th century. The buildings of the priory are arranged around the courtyard.
