History
The oldest parts (entrance gatehouse and north-west part) appear to date from the 15th century. Modifications and repairs made in the 16th and 17th centuries. The building is surrounded by moats and a park. A terrace extends in front of the south face. It is extended on the east and west by paths terminated by gates. The castle is built on a square plan, with an interior courtyard, and reinforced at each of its angles by a tower or a building. Inside, the staircase of honour in brick, of the 17th century, has been preserved. A salon presents panelling of the same period. An antechamber is decorated with a painted ceiling of the 16th century, as well as a room known as the chamber of Louis XI. The entrance pavilion, near the gates, is a construction of the 16th century, rectangular, reinforced at each angle by a small tower.
