History
Replacing an older building dating from the late 18th century, the castle of Chahury was built from 1910 to 1912 by Metz architect Adrien Collin, for industrialist Henri Cannepin. Imitating Louis XV architecture on the exterior, the interior decoration is influenced by Art Nouveau, notably in the stained glass of the winter garden and in the wrought-iron grilles, executed by Quentin, ironsmith in Metz.
