Fort situé dans le secteur fortifié de Verdun, conçu selon le système Séré de Rivières. Construit de 1881 à 1884, il est renforcé de 1888 à 1889 et de 1904 à 1906 par une tourelle à canon de 75 mm et deux casemates de Bourges. History
Fort situated in the fortified sector of Verdun, designed according to the Séré de Rivières system. Built from 1881 to 1884, it was reinforced from 1888 to 1889 and from 1904 to 1906 by a 75 mm gun turret and two Bourges casemates. Disarmed in 1915, the work was taken by the Germans on 8 June 1916 despite the heroic resistance led by Commander Raynal, then retaken by the French on 2 November 1916.
