Historique
Le monastère de Mirebeau fut fondé en 1411, suite au mouvement de réforme initié au sein de l'ordre des Clarisses (ordre mendiant fondé en 1212) par soeur Colette en 1408 à Besançon. Il a ensuite été réorganisé en 1616. Il subsiste d'importants vestiges de ce couvent : l'ancien logis abbatial à l'ouest ; une tourelle à mâchicoulis au sud-ouest ; la chapelle au nord dont la façade sud est percée de deux portes murées de style Renaissance et classique (l'une d'elles inscrite MH en 1932). Elle est de plan rectangulaire avec un chevet à pans coupés. Sa couverture est pour partie en ardoise, pour partie en tuile plate. La chapelle a été remaniée aux 17e et 18e siècles (améngements intérieurs au milieu du 18e siècle) ; elle a conservé deux éléments remarquables : sa charpente lambrissée du 15e siècle et son jubé du 18e siècle.

History
The monastery of Mirebeau was founded in 1411, following the reform movement initiated within the order of the Clarissas (mendicant order founded in 1212) by sister Colette in 1408 at Besançon. It was subsequently reorganized in 1616. There remain important vestiges of this convent: the former abbatial dwelling to the west; a turret with machicolations to the south-west; the chapel to the north whose south façade is pierced by two walled doors of Renaissance and classical style (one of them registered historic monument in 1932). It is of rectangular plan with a chevet with splayed angles. Its roof is partly in slate, partly in flat tile. The chapel was remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries (interior modifications in the mid-18th century); it has preserved two remarkable elements: its panelled roof structure of the 15th century and its rood screen of the 18th century.
