Le château a été construit à la fin du 15e siècle et a appartenu à la famille du cardinal de Richelieu. On y distingue les substructions d'une enceinte et de tours se reliant au bâtiment principal. La tour conserve plusieurs salles avec cheminées. Sur la cour intérieure s'ouvraient une chapelle, un pavillon d'escalier et une galerie (détruite) qui communiquait par une petite porte avec la salle voûtée de la tour. A droite de l'entrée de cette tour, des corbelets supportent des mâchicoulis de défense. En face se trouve la porte très ornée de l'escalier.

History
The château was built at the end of the 15th century and belonged to the family of Cardinal de Richelieu. One can distinguish the substructions of a wall and towers connecting to the main building. The tower preserves several rooms with fireplaces. Opening onto the inner courtyard were a chapel, a staircase pavilion and a gallery (destroyed) which communicated by a small door with the vaulted room of the tower. To the right of the entrance to this tower, corbels support machicolations for defence. Opposite is found the highly ornate door to the staircase.
