History

The château was built in the 17th century on the bases of a feudal stronghold and divided in the 18th century between two owners. One of them had one of the corner pavilions demolished and the remaining part transformed, in particular the openings. There remains a rectangular main building, formerly central, flanked by a square pavilion. The dormers on the road side are of varied form, with sculpted eared finials. On the courtyard façade, the entrance door is not central, a result of the transformations of the 18th century. The remaining corner pavilion presents, on its widest face, stone levelling courses and buttresses. The château must formerly have possessed wings extending from the pavilions and closing the courtyard. The basement comprises several rooms decorated with medieval fireplaces.
