En 1591, l'autorisation est donnée de construire une maison forte afin de faire face aux dangers dus aux guerres de Religion. C'est un bâtiment rectangulaire formant un talus à la base. Le corps de logis est flanqué de deux pavillons carrés, accolés en diagonale aux angles nord-est et sud-ouest et débordant respectivement sur les grands côtés du rectangle. Le bâtiment est situé au centre d'une cour quadrangulaire flanquée aux quatre angles d'une tour, dont seules deux subsistent.

History
In 1591, permission was given to construct a fortified house in order to face the dangers due to the Wars of Religion. It is a rectangular building forming a batter at the base. The main dwelling is flanked by two square pavilions, set diagonally at the north-east and south-west corners and projecting respectively over the long sides of the rectangle. The building is situated at the centre of a quadrangular courtyard flanked at the four corners by a tower, of which only two remain.
