L'église relevait de l'abbaye de Bazignes (ordre de Saint-Benoît). Sa fondation remonte aux 10e-11e siècle. L'église romane actuelle date du 12e siècle. A l'époque gothique, de grandes arcatures sont percées dans le mur nord. A la Renaissance, l'église est agrandie d'un collatéral. En 1577, elle est sans doute saccagée par les protestants. En 1768, l'abbé Denis Ailhaud de Vitrolles, entreprend la réfection totale de l'intérieur. Un décor peint 19e est réalisé dans la chapelle du choeur Renaissance par François Pillet père.

History
The church was subject to the abbey of Bazignes (Order of Saint-Benedict). Its foundation dates back to the 10th-11th century. The present Romanesque church dates from the 12th century. In the Gothic period, large arcatures are pierced in the north wall. At the Renaissance, the church is enlarged by a side aisle. In 1577, it is no doubt sacked by protestants. In 1768, the abbé Denis Ailhaud de Vitrolles undertakes the complete refection of the interior. A 19th-century painted decoration is executed in the chapel of the Renaissance choir by François Pillet père.
