Historique

History
The main dwelling was formerly the seat of an important lordship. A portal bristling with crenellations gives access to a courtyard of dependencies preceding the castle of L-shaped plan. In this courtyard, a gallery (16th century), shortened around 1830, has retained three arcades resting on round piles. The main dwelling comprises a west wing of the 15th century, attached to a more recent wing at right angles. The north elevation of this wing is supported by a round tower and two square towers cut off. A vast tower of oblong form, of which only the base remains, supported the west wing at its south end. A spiral staircase is found at the angle of the two wings in operation. A wooden staircase of the 17th century is found in the south wing. Numerous improvements were made to the main dwelling in the 19th century.
